The absurd of whatever - istic revolutions
For many years, revolutions have become a way for the population to experience catharsis in the modern world for short amount of time. For many reasons, this social phenomena has become fashionable, expendable, reusable and cheap to renew people's fantasies about the future. Revolutions themselves overtakes the establishment for many generations, including the establishment that created the revolution by contradictory it appears. The phenomena itself is made of a network of mistakes that always explains why it wasn't successful.
Camarades, fighters for freedom, rebels for justice, studious for ideals, workers for freedom and so. Are the most common stereotypes of the entities that conform the revolutionary organizations. The most interesting thing is that almost any preconceived idea about the revolutionaries, matches with any person or community in the world. And that provides identity to unshaped communication spaces, like tiny villages, or the hard worker at the office who feels the weight of repression every day having to be sitted all day answering senseless emails.
But some sort of reward has to have the fact of being a rebel. Well, life is hard, and full of crossed feelings every day that accumulate in time and throw us into conclusions, simple conclusions about our position in life. Being a rebel is escaping from whatever social strata or classification. Is the scarcity of autonomous independent acting in life that pushes people towards disobedience and its irrational or partially rational action returns some purpose to life. The purpose to fight for food, to fight for peace (undefined term or idea) to fight for security, to fight for democracy (ambiguous), to fight for the people's education, or people's health. Sadly in these days, revolutionary purposes are in terms of short timescales, without quantifying impacts and processes to achieve coherence nor to be careful and stabilize strategies. Is the power for the power what is in the middle and only the heads of the revolution wants it with their ideals exposed recklessly as a violation of deep thoughts and philosophies behind. This is very clear with phrases as, "el pueblo unido jamas sera vencido - People united will never be beaten"
But why? well the answer relies in the very nature of the revolutionary cauldron. It is a fast process, with fast organizative structures, that respond quickly to adversity and needs to be unstable in order to cause instability, to confuse. Such organizative structures, favor the active members of the revolution who in their majority have to be single, without any other responsibility more than plan the next revolutinary strike.
Sadly for them, the biology of the gross population is more natural and less intense. People enjoy going to work, raise kids every day, enjoy life, hang out with friends, meet people, socialize, joke, laugh, chat about other topics. Masses avoid huge efforts for prolonged times so after a while the revolution passes into a solitary background of guerrillas or coercitive governments and authoritarian leaders to keep masses in function of an alert state remembering them why revolution is necessary for their lives and this is not correct.
The power of action for a real evolution instead of the term revolution, term that means nothing to me and sounds like evolving over evolving giving randomness. Is in supporting the pillars of human values and virtues. Joy, beauty, intellectuality, leisure, art, contemplation, and well driven science towards a steady change or evolution of society.
